Natale ‘Nat’ Bosa

For over five decades, Nat Bosa has been a leader in the real estate industry in both Western Canada and the United States. From a modest start as a construction labourer, Nat teamed up with his brothers in 1966 and led Bosa Brothers to be a trusted name in the construction industry. He expanded into real estate development and by the 1980’s he founded Bosa Development, growing it into a premiere international real estate company. He has built a reputation for integrity and vision—a legacy that continues to this day.

Nat has steadily led Bosa Development, seeing opportunities where others have not. He has been instrumental in pioneering the revitalization of the downtown core of San Diego, expanding the boundaries of downtown Vancouver and Calgary, and helping Whistler rise from a resort town to an international destination.

Nat has been recognized time and again by both industry and peers as a visionary leader, an inspiring speaker and a generous philanthropist. He was inducted into the Urban Development Institute Hall of Fame in 2016 and was the recipient of the Founders Award at the 2013 Alonzo Awards in recognition of a lifetime of visionary leadership in Downtown San Diego.

Ryan Bosa

Building on the family legacy, Ryan Bosa is passionate about elevating the urban living experience and building for the future. In 2017, Ryan became president of Bosa Development with a focus on team building, smart design and diversification. Under his leadership, Bosa Development continues to build on an unparalleled reputation, while expanding its asset base and building a robust rental apartment portfolio to compliment the historic business model.

Ryan’s journey in the industry began by working summers on his father’s construction sites. By his mid-20’s he was heading Bosa Development’s construction department and by the late 90’s he shifted toward development, spearheading their expansion into California. Ryan left to found Embassy Development in 2003, gaining invaluable experience in master planning and placemaking in Vancouver, Seattle and Calgary. In 2017, Embassy Development and Bosa Development merged.

He summarizes Bosa Development’s mission this way:
